Peter Douglas Ponsonby, died 26 March, 2025. He was 69, and a scion of the Viscounts Duncannon, later Earls of Bessborough.
Mr Ponsonby lived at Ballylanigan, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly at Kilcooley Abbey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
He was born 26 June, 1955, the third son of Major George Thomas Ponsonby (1913-1984), and his wife the former Elizabeth Penelope Melville Wills (1924-2014), scion of the Wills baronets, and married in 1982, Faith Primrose Orr Brandon, daughter of the Rev Canon Ernest Arthur Brandon, of County Wexford, Ireland, by whom he had issue, three daughters, Emma, Sarah, and Julia.
