The engagement was announced 15 February, 2025, between William J.C. Laing, son of Mr and Mrs Rodney Laing of Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire, & Isabella Emily Maxwell (born 1995), scion of the Barons Farnham, daughter of the Hon Robin Somerset Maxwell (born 15 September, 1965), of Glemsford, Suffolk, and his wife the former Tessa M. Shepherd.
The Hon Robin Maxwell is heir apparent to his father the 13th Baron Farnham (born 12 Dec, 1933).
