Sally Berry died 12 December, 2024, aged 82. She was a descendant of the Croft baronets, and scion of the Cairnes Irish landed family.
She was born Sally Cairnes, 9 November, 1942, third daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel John Elliot Cairnes (1904-k/a 1943), and his wife the former June Jameson. She married 3 December, 1966, Major Anthony Edward Berry, by whom she had a son, Nicholas (born 1 May, 1968), and a daughter, Suzanna Claire (born 19 Feb, 1972).
