The engagement was announced 14 December, 2024, between Ms Matilda Rose (Tilly) Dunne (born 29 June, 1992), scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of Philip Martin Dunne (born 1958), and his wife the former Domenica Margaret Anne Fraser (born 1960), scion of the Barons Lovat, and Ms Helen Fee, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Fee of Corballis, Meath, Ireland.
Tilly Dunne's father, merchant banker Philip Dune, a former army officer, was a friend and companion of Diana, Princess of Wales, who accompanied her to the wedding of the present Duke of Beaufort to Tracy Ward in 1987, and 'he marshalled his considerable forces of charm to entertain Diana on a trip to top skiing resort Klosters in 1987'.
