The engagement was announced 23 November, 2024, between Hugo Charles Mayes (born 1996), elder son of James Mayes, of Roundway, Wiltshire, & his wife nee Buchanan, and Emily Grace Lees-Millais (born 25 March, 1997), scion of the Millais baronets, younger daughter of Colin Everett Lees-Millais (born 12 April, 1957), of Whittlebury, Northamptonshire, and his wife the former Frances Maria Loftus Tottenham (born 16 October, 1959), scion of that Irish landed gentry family.
