Richard Wallace Vernon, who died 25 August, 2024, aged 96, was a scion of the Vernon baronets.
He was born 18 October, 1927, the second son of Herbert Wallace Vernon (1890-1974), and his wife the former Gertrude Mary Jackson (who died 15 January, 1959); & married 8 January, 1955, Pamela Violet Grierson (1925-2017), scion of the Grierson baronets, daughter of Lt-Col Alexander George William Grierson, RM (1884-1951), and his wife the former Violet Ethel Brewis (1900-1980), by whom he had issue, two sons, Richard (born 31 May, 1956), and Simon (born 28 March, 1958), and two daughters, Sally (born 22 Apr, 1960), and Joanna (born 26 March, 1963).
