Sir Michael Colman, 3rd Baronet, who died 26 December, 2023, aged 95, was a member of the eponymous mustard manufacturing family; a director of Reckitt & Colman plc 1970-85, chairman 1986-95.
Michael Jeremiah Colman was born 7 July, 1928, son of Sir Jeremiah Colman, 2nd Baronet (1886-1961), and his wife the former Edith Gwendolen Tritton (1902-1980), scion of the Tritton baronets; and succeeded to the baronetcy (UK, cr 1907), on the death of his father, 8 January, 1961.
He married 29 October, 1955, Judith Jean Wallop William-Powlett (born 7 February, 1936), scion of the Earls of Portsmouth, daughter of Vice Admiral Sir Peveril Barton Reibey William -Powlett, KCB, KCMG, CBE, DSO (1898-1985), and his 1st wife the former Helen Constance Forbes Crombie (1903-1965), by whom he had issue, two sons, Jeremiah and John, and three daughters, Olivia, Victoria and Alice.
He is succeeded in the baronetcy by his elder son, Jeremiah Michael Powlett Colman (born 23 January, 1958).
