Lady Harriot Tennant, MBE, sometime chairman of Chelsea Physic Garden, scion of the Earls of Radnor, died 5 January, 2024, aged 88.
Harriot Pleydell-Bouverie was born 18 December, 1935, fourth daughter of the 7th Earl of Radnor, KG, KCO (1895-1968), of Longford Castke, Salisbury, and his wife the former Helena Olivia Adeane (1902-1985), scion of that landed gentry family; and married 11 December, 1965, Mark Iain Tennant of Balfluig (1932-2020), of Balfluig Castle, Aberdeen, scion of the Barons Glenconner, son of Major John Tennant (1899-1967), and his first wife the Hon Antonia Mary Roby Benson (1903-1977), daughter of the 1st Baron Charnwood (1864-1945); by whom she had issue, a son, Lysander (born 1968), and a daughter, Sophia (born 1967).
