The Hon Diana Birtwistle, who died 26 December, 2023, aged 94, was a scion of the Barons Trimlestown.
She was born Diana Barnewall, 13 October, 1929, daughter of the 19th Baron Trimlestown (1899-1990), and his wife the former Muriel Schneider (1894-1937); and married 30 October, 1954, Anthony Gerard Astley Birtwistle (1928-2021), son of James Astley Birtwistle (1889-1975), and Muriel Mary Marwood (1892-1988), by whom she had issue, four daughters, Caroline (b 24 Jul 1955), Emma (b 6 Nov 1957), Lucinda (b 28 Aug 1960), and Sophia (b 3 March, 1964).
