Colonel the Hon Peter NantonTrustram Eve, OBE, Royal Green Jackets (Rifle Brigade), who died 30 December, 2023, aged 93, was a scion of the Barons Silsoe, and heir presumptive to his nephew, the 3rd Baron.
He was educated at Oxford University, MA 1960); and was commissioned into the Royal Green Jackets, Lieutenant-Colonel, 1973; OBE (1978).
He was born 2 May, 1930, second son of the 1st Baron Silsoe, GBE, MC (1894-1976), who was appointed chairman of the War Damage Commission (1941), and the War Works Commission (1945), Local Government Boundary Commission (1945) and Central Land Board (1947), &c, by his wife the former Marguerite Meredith Nanton (1900-1945).
He married 29 April, 1961, Petronilla Letiere Sheldon Elliott (1928-2023), daughter of Jannion Steele Elliott (who died 1942), of Dowles Manor, Bewdley, Yorkshire, by his wife the former Doris Amie Sheldon (1889-1974). His wife died 1 March, 2023, aged 94.
Colonel Trustram Eve leaves issue, two sons, Richard (born 9 March, 1963), and Nicholas (born 14 November, 1965).
