The engagement was announced 22 December, 2023, between Hector William Thomas Fraser (born 1994), scion of the Lords Saltoun, son of Simon William David Fraser (born 1963), of Mountfield, East Sussex, and his wife the former Lucinda Anne Egerton (born 1965), scion of that landed gentry family, and Sophie Sarah F. Slemeck (born 1993), daughter of (Frederick) Mark Slemeck (born 1959), of Cassey Compton, Gloucestershire, and his former wife the former Emma C. Hooper (now Mrs Emma Bedford, of Winslade, Hampshire).
