The engagement was announced 13 July, 2023, between William Patrick Lanyon (born 1988) son of Richard Patrick Lanyon (born 1951), of Manningfold Abbots, Wiltshire, and his wife the former Bridget Nelita Cheyne (born 5 December, 1955), scion of the Cheyne baronets, and Virginia M. Lewis, daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Lewis, of The Haven, Dilwyn, Herefordshire.
