Elizabeth, Viscountess Colville of Culross, who died 16 May, 2023, aged 88, was the first wife of the late 4th Viscount Colville of Culross, QC (1933-2010), a Conservative politician and judge.
She was the former (Mary) Elizabeth Webb-Bowen, born 11 December, 1934, daughter of Colonel Mostyn Hird Wheeler Webb-Bowen (1894-1983), and his wife the former Evelyn Florence Lane (1910-2001); and married 4 October, 1958 (div 1973), as his first wife, John Mark Alexander Colville, 4th Viscount Colville of Culross, QC (born 19 July, 1933), son of the 3rd Viscount (1888-1945), and his wife the former Kathleen Myrtle Gale (1905-1986). The 4th Viscount, who had succeeded his father, 14 March, 1945, died 8 April, 2010.
Viscountess Colville leaves issue, four sons, Charles, Richmond, Alexander and Rupert. The eldest son, Charles Mark Townshend Colville, is 5th Viscount Colville of Culross (born 5 Sept, 1959).
