The engagement was announced 4 February, 2023, between the Hon Alexander Thomas Hugh Clifford (born 24 Sept, 1985), elder son and heir of the 14th Baron Clifford of Chuldeigh (b 17 Mar, 1948) (Peerage of England, cr 1672), of Ugbrooke Park, Chudleigh, Devon, by his former wife (Muriel) Suzanne Austin, & Lucy Jane Lenygon (born 1986), daughter of Mr Nicholas J. Lenygon (born 1954) and Mrs Sarah J. Lenygon (nee Murray).
It will be Alexander Clifford's second marriage. His first to Dr Caitlin Blake-Lane, daughter of Mr & Mrs Roger Blake-Lane, of Toorak, Melbourne, Australia, which took place in 2017 ended in divorce two years later.
