The engagement was announced 5 January, 2023, between Jack Nicholas Hope Hoyland (born 9 March, 1986), elder son of Philip John Hoyland, of Hawnby, North Yorkshire, and his wife the former Hon Henrietta Mary Vivian (born 4 Apr, 1963), scion of the Barons Vivian, & Tatiana Cicely Alice Pole-Carew (born 12 April, 1993), descended from the Barons Lyttelton, elder daughter of (Gerald Anthony) Peregrine Pole-Carew (born 2 September, 1957), of Piddlehinton, Dorset, and his wife the former Georgina Elizabeth Moir Harris.
Jack Hoyland is a grandson maternally of the 6th Baron Vivian (1935-2004), and his first wife the former Catherine Joyce Hope (now Countess of Mexborough).
