Baron Wim van Lynden died 19 December, 2022, aged 74. He was the husband of Miranda Mary Macrae (born 21 January, 1951), scion of that landed gentry family, eldest daughter of John Duncan Hervey Macrae of Ballimore, 24th Constable of Eilean Donan, a descendant of the Marquesses of Bristol, by whom he had issue, Melanie, Lara, Tristan, Poldy and Iona.
