The Hon Thomas Noel, who died suddenly, 15 November, 2022, aged 64, was a scion of the Earls of Gainsborough (cr Peerage of the the UK, 1841).
He was born 9 March, 1958, third of the four sons of the 5th Earl of Gainsborough (1923-2009), and his wife the former Mary Stourton (1925-2018), scion of the Barons Mowbray, Segrave & Stourton.
He was educated at Ampleforth and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. The Hon Thomas Noel, who was unmarried, was a direct descendant of King William IV and Mrs Jordan.
