Julia Margaret Barton (nee Lindsay), who died 4 October, 2022, aged 81, was a scion of the Earls of Crawford and Balcarres.
She was born 24 September, 1941, daughter of Major the Hon James Louis Lindsay [1906-1997], sometime MP for North Devon, by his wife the former Hon Bronwen Mary Scott-Ellis [1912-2003], daughter of the 8th Baron Howard De Walden [1880-1946].
She married 7 September, 1963, Malcolm Peter Speight Barton, son of Major Michael Hugh Barton, by whom she had issue, two sons, Henry James [born 5 July, 1967], and Christopher Charles [born 10 Nov 1970], and a daughter, Fenella Jane [born 10 March, 1965].
Julia Barton was a granddaughter paternally of the 27th Earl of Crawford & Balcarres, KT, PC [1871-1940].
