The Hon James Weir, scion of the Viscounts Weir, has died at Bedford, New York, United States. He was 73.
James Richard Canning Weir was born 1 May, 1949, fourth son of the 2nd Viscount Weir (1905-1975), and his 1st wife the former Dorothy Isabel Lucy Crowdy [1907-1972]; and married three times, 1stly, in 1977 [div 1998], Haude Chantal Gabrielle Charpentier, daughter of Marc Charpentier, of Paris; married 2ndly, Dorothy Duit Atkinson, daughter of I. Harold Atkinson, of Minneapolis, United States; and married 3rdly, Jacqueline, who survives him.
He leaves two daughters from his first marriage, Victoria (born 1978), and Kate (born 1980),
