Nicholas Francis Markham CBE, (born 13 February 1968), has been created a life peer, on his appointment as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department of Health and Social Care.
Nick Markham is chair of London & Continental Railways. He is also the co-founder of covid testing company Cignpost Diagnostics & ExpressTest, is a Non-Executive Director of Inchora Limited, and is Lead NED for the Department for Work and Pensions.
A Downing Street press announcement 6 Sept as updated 8th Sept (Ministerial Appointments Sept 2022): "His Majesty has also been pleased to signify His intention of conferring a peerage of the United Kingdom for Life on Nick Markham CBE."
The peerage has been gazetted in the name, style and title of Baron Markham, of East Horsley in the County of Surrey.
