Sir Raymond Johnstone, CBE, who died 15 August, 2022, aged 92, was a scion of the Johnstone baronets. He was a former Chairman of the Historic Buildings Council for Scotland, a company director.
John Raymond Johnstone was born 27 Oct, 1929, son of Capt Henry James Johnstone, RN [1895-1947], of Alva, and his wife the former Margaret Alison McIntyre [who died 1984]; and married in 1979, as her third husband, Mrs Susan Sara Henriques [1935-2021], former wife of [1] Basil Reginald Vincent Ziani de Ferranti [1930-88], and [2] Peter Quixano Henriqes [1922-74], and daughter of Christopher Gerald Gore [1903-54], and his wife the former Lady Barbara Susan Montgomerie [1909-92], scion of the Earls of Eglinton & Winton.
He was appointed CBE in 1988, and knighted in 1993.
