Major John Errington, who died 29 August, 2022, aged 104, was a scion of that landed gentry family, of Errington and Beeslack.
He was born 12 August, 1918, son of Major Lancelor Errington (1889-1965), and his wife the former Elizabeth Hall Sanford (died 1967); and married 1948, Brenda Margaret Reeves, by whom he had three daughters.
