Jennifer Mary Newton [nee Turville Constable Maxwell], who died 21 August, 2022, aged 85, was a scion of the Lords Herries of Terregles.
She was born 23 March, 1937, daughter of Major David Turville-Constable-Maxwell [1904-1985], and his wife the former Mary Alethea Elizabeth Evelyn Turville-Petre [1904-1995], scion of the Barons Petre; a sister Mary [1931-93] was wife of the 9th Earl of Carrick, and another sister, Marcia [b 1947], was wife of Sir Everard Radcliffe, 6th Baronet.
She married 12 September, 1970, Christopher David Newton [born 1938], son of James Newton, of Warlingham, Surrey, and his wife the former Ethel Davies, by whom she had issue, a son, James [born 16 June, 1971], and a daughter, Lucinda [born 23 Apr, 1975].
