Verena Joan Elliott, who died 23 June, 2022, aged 86, was a scion of the Viscounts Downe.
She was born Verena Joan Dawnay, 16 February, 1936, the third daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Cuthbert Henry Dawnay, MC, JP [1891-1964], and his wife the former Marjorie Kathleen Loder [1897-1986], a granddaughter maternally of the 3rd Earl of Listowel [1833-1924; and married 19 April, 1958, John Antony de la Cour Elliott [who died 2012], son of Yule Elliott, by whom she had three daughters, Davina [born 1 May, 1962], Bridget [born 11 Nov 1964], and Felicity [born 7 Jul 1966].
