Lieutenant-Colonel Patrick Charles Coote Kaye,who died 26 May, 2022, aged 83, was descended from the Coote baronets.
He was born 17 July, 1938, son of Major Ronald Lesley Downing Kaye [1899-1982], and his wife the former Evelyn Gertrude Eyre Coote [1900-1960]; and married 1965, Fay Elizabeth Mew[born 1939], daughter of Joseph Harrie Mew [1901-1982], and his wife the former Joan Cecil Gold Watney [1911-1982], scion of that landed brewing family, by whom he had two sons, James and Ben.
