The Dowager Lady McGrigor, who died 11 June, 2022, aged 94, was the widow of Sir Charles McGrigor, 5th Baronet [1922-2007].
She was born Mary Bettine Edmonstone, 28 September, 1927, eldest daughter of Sir Archibald Charles Edmonstone, 6th Baronet, of Duntreath [1898-1954], and his wife the former Gwendolyn Mary Field [who died 27 Nov, 1989], daughter of Marshall Field Jr [1868-1905], the Chicago department store millionaire.
She married 7 June, 1948, Sir Charles Edward McGrigor, 5th Baronet [1922-2007], son of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Colquhoun McGrigor, 4th Baronet, OBE [1893-1946], and his wife the former Amabel Caroline Somers Cocks [died 1977]; by whom she had issue, two sons, James and Charles, and two daughters, Lorna and Kirsty.
She was widowed, 1 Oct, 2007, and the baronetcy passed to her elder son, James [born 19 Oct 1949].
The funeral service will take place at Glenorchy & Innishail Parish Church, Dalmally, 29 June 2022.
