Philip David Miles, MBE, died 18 February, 2022.
He was born in 1931, son of Major Walter Harold Miles [1890-1982], and his wife the former Joyce Marjorie Greenwell [1903-95], scion of the Greenwell baronets; and married firstly, 6 February, 1960, the Hon Julian Isabella Chetwynd [1932-1981], daughter of the 9th Viscount Chetwynd [1904-1965], and his wife the former Joan Gilbert Casson [1898-1979]; married 2ndly, 1985, as her second husband,Christine Helene, Baroness Bolton [born 20 March, 1932], former wife of the 7th Baron Bolton [1929-2001], and daughter of the 7th Baron Forester [1899-1977], and his wife the former Marie Louise Priscilla Perrott [1909-88], scion of the Perrott baronets. He leaves issue from his first marriage, a son, Charles Philip Chetwynd Miles [born 15 Oct, 1962], and a daughter, Sara Isabella Miles [born 6 January, 1961].
Philip Miles was a grandson maternally of Sir Bernard Eyre Greenwell, 1st Baronet [1874-1939].
