Maj. Michael Giles Neish Walker, CBE, died 29 September, 2021, aged 88.
He was born 28 August, 1933, son of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir William Giles Newsom Walker [1905-89], and his wife the former Mildred Brenda Nairn [1906-83], daughter of Sir Michael Nairn, 2nd Baronet [1874-1952], and his wife the former Mildred Margaret Neish [died 16 Oct, 1953]; and married 27 January, 1960, Margaret Ruby Hills [born 25 Sept, 1934], daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel John David Hills [1895-1975], and his wife the former Lady Rosemary Ethel Baring [1908-2004], daughter of the 2nd Earl of Cromer [1877-1953], and his wife the former Lady Ruby Florence Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound [1886-1961], scion of the Earls of Minto.
He leaves three children, two sons, Simon and Geordie, and a daughter, Nicola.
