The engagement was announced 16 September, 2021, between Robert [Bertie] Wood [born 1991], eldest son of Giles Powlett Clairmont Wood [born 3 November, 1954], and his wife the former Frances Mary Catherine Stewart, & Katinka Stampa Orwin [born circa 1994], daughter of Major Jeremy Stampa Orwin [1967-2017], and his wife Countess [Alexandra] Dominie Stampa [born 1967].
Bertie Wood is descended from the William-Powlett family, who descended from the Earls of Portsmouth.
