Magdalene Jardine Dunlop, who died 27 August, 2021, aged 84, was a scion of the Browne-Clayton landed gentry family.
She was born 16 June, 1937, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel William Patrick Browne-Clayton [1906-71], head of the landed family, and his wife the former Janet Maitland Bruce Jardine [1909-2002], scion of that Scottish landed gentry family; and married 19 September, 1959, Arian William Hugh Dunlop, son of the Rev Canon Douglas Lyall Chandler Dunlop, of Co Galway, Ireland, by whom she had two sons, Julian [born 1961], and Dominic [born 1969], and a daughter, Lindsay [born 1963].
