Charlotte Mary Frances Lucas-Scudamore, who died at her home in Herefordshire, 11 July, 2021, aged 72, was a descendant of the extinct Earls of Chesterfield.
She was born in 1949, the daughter of John Harford Stanhope Lucas-Scudamore [1902-76], of Kentchurch Court, Herefordshire, and his wife the former Lady Evelyn Patricia Mary Scudamore-Stanhope [born 7 May, 1917, d ], only child of the 12th and last Earl of Chesterfield [1889-1952], and his wife the former Lorna Marie Lever, daughter of William Henry Lever, of Wellington, New Zealand.
She married 1stly in Oct 1971 [div], Carlo Nardi Barbieri, of Florence, Italy; married 2ndly, 1978, Gerald Francis Bruce Manley [born 1940], scion of that landed gentry family, son of William Arthur Reginald Ivor Manley [1912-73], of Bacton, Herefordshire, and his wife the former Gwendoline Deidamia Trewhella [1910-98].
She leaves issue, two daughters from her first marriage, Carolina [born 1972] and Cammilla [born 1973], and a son from the second marriage, Harry Rupert Scudamore Manley [born in 1979].
