_.Caroline Jane Roe [nee Maltby], who died 23 May, 2021, aged 64, was descended from the Earls of Malmesbury, a granddaughter maternally of the 6th Earl.
She was born 14 May, 1957, a daughter of John Newcombe Maltby, CBE [1928-98], and his wife the former Lady Cynthia Veronica Anthea Harris [born 17 May, 1934], daughter of the 6th Earl of Malmesbury [1907-2000].
She married in 1990, Alexander F.J. Roe, by whom she had issue, two sons, Edward and James, and a daughter, Charlotte.
