_.The life peerage recently awarded to Dame Susan Margaret Black, DBE, FBA, FRSE, FRCP, FRAI, has been gazetted in the name, style and title of Baroness Black of Strome.
Susan Margaret Black [née Gunn, was born 7 May 1961]. She is a Scottish forensic anthropologist, anatomist and academic. She is the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Engagement at Lancaster University and is the current President of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland. From 2005 to 2018 she was Professor of Anatomy and Forensic Anthropology at the University of Dundee.
The House of Lords website records that Dame Susan's peerage was gazetted on 26 April, 2021, Her nomination as a Crossbench life peer was announced by the House of Lords Appointments Commission on 24 February, 2021.
