_.Michael Atkinson, MD, FRCP, died 9 April, 2021, aged 95; born in 1925, son of Herbert Atkinson [1887-1951], and his wife the former Janet Palliser [1892-1962]; married 1951, Iris Margaret Lemprière Bowman [1924-2011], daughter of the Rev Herbert Bowman [died 1930], and his wife the former Maude Lemprière Heywood [1897-1939], scion of the Heywood baronets, by whom he had four daughters.
