The engagement was announced 6 March, 2021, between Christian Frederick H. von Celsing [born 1992], son of Mr Hans von Celsing, and his wife the former Virginia Anne Mackenzie [born 8 March, 1958], scion of the Mackenzie baronets, and the Hon Philippa Katharina Cadogan [born 1992], scion of the Earls Cadogan, daughter of Edward Charles Cadogan, styled Viscount Chelsea [born 10 May, 1966], and Katharina, Viscountess Chelsea [nee Katharina Johanna Ingeborg Hülsemann].
Philippa Cadogan is a granddaughter of the 8th Earl Cadogan [b 24 March, 1937], and his first wife the former Lady Philippa Dorothy Bluet Wallop [1937-84], daughter of the 9th Earl of Portsmouth [1898-1984].
Christian von Celsing is also descended from the Rawlinson, Kirkpatrick and Seymour baronets, and from the latter family he descends from the Dukes of Somerset.
