_. The Hon Guy Brett, who died 1 February, 2021, aged 78, was a scion of the Viscounts Esher, and sometime chief art critic for The Times and curator of the Tate Modern.
(Anthony) Guy Baliol Brett was born 18 Oct, 1942, third of the six sons of the 4th Viscount Esher (1913-2004), and his wife, the artist, the former Helena Christian Olive Pike (1916-2006), scion of that landed gentry family, and was a nephew of Katherine Mary Penelope Pike (who died 2003), wife of the 3rd Marquess of Zetland.
He married in 1975, Alejandra Altamirano, a Chilean actress, by whom he had a daughter, Luciana (born 1976).
