Penelope Georgina Mary Bostock [nee Crossley] 1928-2021

 _. Penelope Georgina Mary [Pempe] Bostock, who died 30 January, 2021, aged 92, was a scion of the Crossley baronets and was a former Countess of Lindsay.

She was born 22 March, 1928, daughter of Anthony Crommelin Crossley [1903-39], and his wife Clare Frances Fortescue Thomson [who died 2002], and married firstly, 3 October, 1951 [div 1969], Major Henry Ronald Burn-Callander [1921-99], scion of that Scottish landed family, son of Maj. William Burn-Callander, and his wife the former Hermione Garforth; she married 2ndly, 9 June, 1969, as his second wife David Lindesay-Bethune [1926-89], then styled Viscount Garnock, son and heir of the 14th Earl of Lindsay [1901-85], and his wife the former Marjory Cross [died 1988]. Her second husband succeeded his father, 19 Oct, 1985, and died 1 Aug, 1989. She married 3rdly, in 2001, as his second wife, Godfrey Stafford Bostock [1915-2008].

Pempe Bostock leaves three daughters from her first marriage, Sarah, Victoria and Georgina [Gigi].
