Nigel John Trefusis Jaques, who died 5 December, 2020, aged 85, was a descendant of the Barons Clinton; born 1935, son of Leslie Harrison Jaques [1899-1971], and his wife the former Mary Adela White-Thompson [1901-1988], daughter of the Rt Rev Leonard Jauncey White-Thompson [1863-1933], Bishop of Ely, and his wife the Hon Margaret Adela Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis [1866-1939], daughter of the 20th Baron Clinton [1834-1904].
Old Etonian Jaques was a teacher, a popular housemaster at Eton College, who taught Prince William.
