_. Anthony Peter Coote Sykes, a descendant of the Coote baronets, died 14 December, 2020, aged 85.
He was born in 1935, a son of Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Thomas Wellesley Sykes [1903-1975], and his wife the former Nina Violet Eyre Coote [1904-35]; married 12 Aug, 1972, Harriet Moyra Aileen Cavendish [born 25 September, 1944], scion of the Dukes of Devonshire, daughter of Richard Edward Osborne Cavendish [1917-72], of Holker Hall, Cark in Cartmel, and his wife the former Pamela June Thomas [died 2006], by whom he had issue, a son, Eyre, and two daughters, Nina and Evelyn.
