_. Mary Edith Northcote, who died 10 November, 2020, aged 94, was a scion of the Earls of Iddesleigh.
She was born 14 April, 1926, daughter of Hugh Hamilton Stafford Northcote [1887-1929], and his wife the former Josephine O'Shaughnessy; and was a great-granddaughter of Stafford Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh [1818-1887], who was Secretary of State for India 1867-68, and Chancellor of the Exchequer 1874-80 in the premiership of Benjamin Disraeli.
Mary Northcote was unmarried.
