_. Mary Louise Phyllis Shirley, who died 16 September, 2020, aged 88, was a scion of the Earls Ferrers.
She was born 4 October, 1931, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Evelyn Charles Shirley [1889-1956], by his wife the former Kathleen Mary Phyllis Cardew [died 1977], and was descended from the 1st Earl Ferrers [1650-1717]. Unmarried.
She was predeceased by a brother, Maj John Shirley [1922-2009], and leaves nephews, Philip and Hugh Shirley, and a niece, Emily, wife of the 3rd Baron Grimston of Westbury.
