_. The Hon Mrs Julian Fane died 12 August, 2020. She was 85.
She was the widow of the Hon Julian Fane [1927-2009], scion of the Earls of Westmorland.
She was born in London, 13 October, 1934, a daughter of John Kidston Swire [1893-1983], head of that landed gentry family, by his wife the former Juliet Richenda Barclay [1901-81], scion of that landed gentry family; and married 7 January, 1976, the Hon Julian Charles Fane, FRSL, second son of the 14th Earl of Westmorland [1893-1948], by his wife the former Hon Diana Lister [1893-1983], daughter of the 4th Baron Ribblesdale [1854-1925]. No issue of the marriage.
