_. John David Vaughan Seth-Smith, who died 1 July, 2020, aged 73, was a scion of that landed gentry family.
He was born 7 Oct, 1946, son of Lt.-Cdr. David Keith Seth-Smith, RN.
He Married firstly, 8 June, 1968 [div. 1977], the Lady Jane Annabelle Howard [born 28 Feb, 1947], daughter of the 12th Earl of Carlisle [1923-94], of Naworth Castle, Brampton, Cumbria, by his wife the former Hon Ela Hilda Aline Beaumont [1925-2002].
He married secondly, in 1978 [Div ?], the Hon Moana Elizabeth Jean McGowan [born 30 May, 1948], daughter of the 2nd Baron McGowan [1906-86], by his wife the former Bessie Carmen Cory [1914-96].
Mr Seth-Smith leaves a daughter from his first marriage, Gemma Bridget Annabel Seth-Smith [born 1972], and two sons from his second marriage, Edward [born 1979], and William [born 1985].
He leaves a partner, Bernadette.
