_. Charles David Aikenhead, who died 7 July, 2020, at his hotel, The Rorke's Drift Hotel, in South Africa, aged 74, was a scion of the Aikenhead landed family.
He was born in 1946, son of Robert Charles Aikenhead, by his wife the former Mary Rayland Gibb; married 1stly, 1969, Penelope Susan Hall; married 2ndly, 2010, to the Rev. Mary Cantacuzène-Speransky [née Mason], of Peartree Barn, Mount Bures, Suffolk.
He leaves issue, two sons, [1] Nicholas, married to Melissa Elwes [born 1973], scion of that landed gentry family, by whom he has issue and [2] Philip, married to Emma Day, with issue.
