_. The engagement was announced 18 July, 2020, between William E. Breeze, eldest son of Mr & Mrs John Breeze, of Wadhurst, East Sussex, and Laura Caroline Stirling [born 5 July, 1979], scion of that landed family, daughter of William Henry Stirling [1926-82], of Winterbourne, co Berkshire, by his wife the late Primrose Butler.
Laura Stirling is a granddaughter of Brigadier James Erskine Stirling [d 1968], by his wife the former Evelyn Alice Beatrix Cavendish [b 1892], scion of the Dukes of Devonshire, and granddaughter maternally of the 9th Duke of Leeds [1828-95].
