He was born in 1936, son of Thomas Van Oss [killed in action, 1941], by his wife the former Favell Margaret Bevan [1901-96], scion of that landed gentry family [and granddaughter of the 9th Earl Waldegrave].
married 1stly, 14 June, 1958 [div 1970], Susan Antonia Bazley [born 5 May, 1937], scion of the Bazley baronets, daughter of Anthony Gardner Bazley [1911-37], by his wife the former Anne Hotham [1913-2008], scion of the Barons Hotham [she married, as her second husband in 1944, the 2nd Baron Howard of Penrith [1905-99]. He leaves 2 sons and 2 daughters from his marriage.
Peter van Oss married 2ndly, 1970 [div 1985] Roxanna Doria Neumann [born 5 May, 1937], daughter of Stefan Hubert Neumann [1899-1974], by his wife the former Lady Doria Pelham-Clinton-Hope [1908-42], daughter of the 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne [1866-1941].
He married 3rdly, 2001, Susan Dickson-Brown, who survives him.
