Jeanetta Rees Rowan-Hamilton 1924-2020

_. Jeanetta Rees [Jean] Rowan-Hamilton, who has died aged 96, was the widow of one the Queen Mother's cousins.

Jeanetta Rees Lockett was born 20 January, 1924, scion of the Locketts of Clonterbrook, daughter of Colonel Vivian Noverre Lockett [1880-1962], of Framingham Pigot, Norwich, by his wife the former Violet Rees Colman [1890-1986], scion of that landed family; and married 1 March, 1949, Lieutenant-Colonel Angus David Rowan-Hamilton, DSO, MC [1919-1978], The Black Watch, of Milhills, Crieff, scion of that Irish landed gentry family, by his wife the former Phyllis Frances Blackburn, a granddaughter maternally of the 13th Earl of Strathmore & Kingorne [1824-1904].

Jean Rowan-Hamilton, who was widowed, 11 April, 1978, leaves a son, and four daughters.
