_. The engagement was announced 19 May, 2020, between Alexander Bache, son of Scott and Tanya Morgan, of London, and Sophie Rose M. Carew [born 1992], daughter of Geoffrey Nicholas Carew [born 23 March, 1962], of Tiverton, Devon, by his wife the former Maxine [Max] Robson.
Sophie Carew is a scion of the Breitmeyer landed family. Her father was born Geoffrey Nicholas Breitmeyer, but in 1970 assumed the surname of Carew in lieu of his patronymic. Geoffrey is a son of Charles Louis Breitmeyer, MC [1926-1969], by his wife the former Nichola Carew [1930-2016], scion of the Carew baronets.
