James Alexander Bosville Macdonald of Sleat 1949-2020

_. James Alexander Bosville Macdonald of Sleat, who died 4 March, 2020, aged 70, was a scion of the Bosville Macdonald baronets.

He was born 11 April, 1949, the second son of Sir Alexander Somerled Angus Bosville Macdonald of Sleat, 16th Baronet [1917-1958], by his wife the former Mary Elizabeth Crawley-Boevey Gibbs [1919-2004], scion of the Barons Aldenham & Hunsdon.

He married 21 October, 1995, Mary Lucinda Connolly [born 1952], daughter of Colonel Lionel Castletown Connolly [1922-2013], of Nortoft House, Guilsborough, Northamptonshire, by his wife the former Susan M. Laurie, by whom he had one son, Robert James, who was born 7 July, 1996.

James Macdonald was seven generations in descent from King George II.
