_.Petronilla Cockin [nee Rous], who died 11 March, 2020, aged 76, was a scion of the Earls of Stradbroke.
She was born 28 March, 1943, eldest of the 11 children of Major the Hon Peter James Mowbray Rous [1914-97], by his wife the former Elizabeth Alice Mary Fraser [1921-68], scion of the Lords Lovat, and was a granddaughter paternally of the 3rd Earl of Stradbroke [1862-1947].
She married 18 June, 1966, [Thomas] Peter John Cockin [died 2001], son of Squadron Leader John Bovingdon Cockin [1898-1983], by his wife the former Mary Connolly [1900-82], by whom she had issue, four sons and a daughter.
Mrs Cockin's private funeral will be held 7 Apr, 2020.
